Today's Deal is for $125 towards Spider Vein Therapy for $65 at Madison Laser Therapy.
Laser therapy that delivers intense pulsed light is a very effective treatment for removal of spider veins, thread veins, flare veins, and micro veins.
Spider veins are thin, red blood vessels appearing alone or in a web-like pattern that can appear on the legs, feet, chest or face. While they are generally harmless, veins on the legs may cause an ache or burning sensation after long periods of standing or sitting. The condition is associated with increased pressure to the veins. Risk factors for spider veins may include genetics, pregnancy, obesity, hormones, sun exposure, advancing age, or jobs that require hours of prolonged standing.
Laser Therapy for Spider Veins
The laser beam is focused and does not damage the nearby skin tissue. Over a period of four to six weeks, the vein is reabsorbed by the body and disappears. Laser therapy for spider veins is an easy, fast, and effective way to treat superficial veins. Advances in technology have helped develop many different lasers.
Our laser system uses a focused beam of light. Laser or light energy is selectively absorbed by hemoglobin which results in heating of the blood vessel. With the correct energy, the vein will be heated to a temperature that will cause it to collapse, break down, and fade away. No incisions or needles are used.

Questions and Answers
Q: How much does the treatment cost?
Average treatment session for a specific body area = $125
This can vary depending on the number of veins and the size of the area to be treated
Depending on the individual's need for treatments, discounts are provided for purchasing multiple sessions.
Q: How does the laser work?
The Class IV laser delivers pulses of light energy which cause the blood within the vein to coagulate from the heat reaction. The heat generated from the laser coagulates the blood inside the vessel causing it to collapse and seal. Over the next few weeks, the vessel will disappear and all the blood will be removed by the body’s scavenging cells. The newer laser treatments allow the delivery of a precise dosage of energy to each blood vessel without injuring any nearby structures. Blood flow will then be redirected to veins deeper below your skin’s surface where it should be.
Q: How do I know if I am a candidate for laser vein treatment?
All individuals are evaluated prior to laser therapy. Spider veins do not cause symptoms and are of a cosmetic concern only. For those who have symptoms, further investigation is done to ensure that they do not have varicose veins. Laser therapy is most effective for the very small spider veins and not used to treat large varicose veins.
Q: What preparations must I make?
There are no major preparations required before the laser treatment. On the day of the treatment one should avoid all creams, lotions, and moisturizers on the area that is going to be treated. One should wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the body areas to be treated.
Q: What happens during laser therapy?
The procedure is done in a our clinic and usually takes less than 20 minutes depending on the area to be treated. In most cases, only the small superficial veins are treated with a laser. For those who are sensitive to the minimal stinging sensations during a treatment, we apply a topical anesthetic 20 minutes prior to the procedure.
Q: How often can someone receive laser therapy for spider veins?
If new veins appear, additional treatments are required for optimum results. It is generally recommended that the treatments be spaced 4 - 6 weeks apart.
Q: How many treatments do I need?
Often patients find that one or two treatments are sufficient. However the number of treatments needed will depend on the number, color, and size of the vessels being treated. Since individual results vary, ask your laser therapist about your specific condition.
Q: What types of veins can be treated?
Spider veins, thread veins, flare veins, and micro veins can be treated with excellent results. Small facial veins (or “telangiectasia”) can be treated quickly without bruising or complication. Knotty varicose veins are not good candidates. A careful evaluation will help you determine which vessels can be treated and the best course of treatment.
Q: How does this compare to sclerotherapy?
Many patients prefer laser vein therapy because there are no painful injections.
Q: What about blood blisters and port wine stains?
Blood blisters or “hemangiomas” respond very well to laser vein therapy, usually with just one treatment. Patients with port wine stains and other vascular lesions who had given up on finding a solution have been seen great success with these vascular laser treatments.
Q: Are the treatments painful?
Most patients experience a stinging sensation as the pulses of energy are delivered through the handpiece. Although no local anesthesia or pain medication is typically required, many patients opt to use a topical anesthetic prior to treatment. Following the treatment, the pain is minimal to nonexistent.
Q: What happens after the treatment?
Following your treatment, some redness or bruising may occur. When larger veins are treated, a tan or brownish pigment may persist for a few weeks or months following treatment.
Q: What are the possible side effects?
Although many patients report few if any side effects, those most commonly noticed are slight reddening and local swelling of the skin. These effects typically last for less than 24 hours. Some patients may experience bruising and, in rare instances, slight blistering may occur.
Q: Are there any restriction on my activity after a treatment?
Patients generally resume most normal activities immediately. However it is recommended that you avoid vigorous activities such as strenuous exercise for the first 24 hours after treatment. The use of sunscreen is recommended on any treated areas that will be exposed to the sun.
Q: How fast will I see results?
Most patients find that the majority of the treated veins have shown significant improvement within 4 - 6 weeks of treatment. However your final results may not be apparent for several months. Over time, it is possible for new veins to appear, but these can also be removed with our laser therapy system.
